For those who are not frequent users or lack FBR login credentials, the system offers a seamless guest option. By simply entering basic information such as CNIC/NTN, name, and email, users can proceed to generate their payment challan without additional verification steps.
Key Steps to Generate the Challan for Final/Fixed Taxes:
- Visit the IRIS e-Payments Page: Access the IRIS system via the official FBR website.
- Select “Withholding Tax” or “Fixed/Final Income Tax”: Navigate to the appropriate category under the e-Payments menu.
- Enter Basic Taxpayer Information:
- Choose “Resident” or “Non-Resident” status.
- Input your CNIC or NTN/FTN, name, and registration details.
- Provide other mandatory details such as city, taxable amount, and tax type.
- Payment Section Selection: Select the relevant payment section, like 64010052 – Import u/s 148 @1%, for accurate processing.
- Attach Files for Bulk Payments: The system allows users to attach supporting files to generate a single challan for multiple payments. This feature is particularly beneficial for businesses or agents handling bulk tax payments.
The IRIS system also allows users to:
- Add multiple taxpayers’ details under a single challan.
- Calculate the total tax amount automatically once taxable figures are provided.
- Search for previously registered taxpayers, saving time for recurring entries.
Final Steps: Generating and Paying the Challan
Once all required details have been entered:
- Verify the information and click on “Add” to finalize entries.
- Generate the challan. A unique payment reference number (PSID) will be issued.
- Use the PSID to make payments through ATM, online banking, or over-the-counter at designated banks.
- Click the “OTC” option to make the payment via Pay order or cheque. Then enter the details of pay order or cheque in the given fields like cheque number, date etc.
